When Walt Disney invited stylist Mary Blair to desighn a clock to mark the entrance to Its A Small World at Disneyland Park, she created a quick sketch on a scrap of paper during the plane trip to meet with the Walt. The sketch was an inspiration for the whimsical Glokenspiel that merrily chimes outy each quarter hour. The smiling face that tops the tower is an instantly recognized icon of the delightful attrraction and has been adopted as the logo for the Disney's Its A Small World After All collection. |
