Good ol” Goof (plussed with pewter legs and hand) is the embodiment of the can-do spirit of sports – even though he will soon realize that his torch is burning down a little too fast. Inspired by Walt Disney’s classic animated short The Olympic Champ (1942) and referencing original animation and art, this sculpture shows that when it comes to good sportsmanship, Goofy’s a gold medalist. Goofy entitled “Torchbearer” stands 10 ½” in height and will be available during the Summer Premiere Event June 20th thru June 22nd 2008.
