Watch out - Donald's in a fighting mood! After all, the spirited Duck is the world's most famous hothead, and we love him for it. Though there are plenty of pesky annoyances -chipmunks, nephews, inanimate objects - that can set him off, nothing turns our fine feathered friend into an explosion of fury like having his moment in the spotlight interrupted. And that's just what happened in the classic cartoon Orphan's Benefit, the first in which the feisty Duck lost his temper. To emphasize his outrageous tantrums, Donald's famous fighting pose was introduced in this 1934 black and white cartoon. Donald's hilarious outbursts made Orphan's Benefit so popular, it was remade in color in 1941, and it's that version that inspired our Fall Event sculpture. Dressed in his classic sailor suit and plussed with pewter legs. Donald is quacking up a storm and - well, sometimes it's a good thing that Donald's voice is unintelligible. One of Walt Disney's favorite characters, Donald is audacious, endearing -and simply not to be missed. After all, you wouldn't want to risk infuriating him, would you? Opps - too late!
Donald stands at the height of 4 1/2" and comes boxed with a certificate of authenticity. It was released in September of 2004. |
